Zayn Malik has gone for a total switch up in this new hair transformation. The singer is no stranger to changing up his hairstyle, including everything from buzzcuts to wearing it long and floppy, usually with a healthy dose of facial hair. But he's just done a full 180.

In Zayn's Instagram posts of late, the star had been sporting a full beard and shaggy bleached hair with a pink dye job. Though most of his posts are black and white, you can see bold fuchsia tips in the most recent colour photo from November.

Now the star has swerved straight into polished, having off the beard and stubble in favour of a neat moustache and goatee. He also seems to have chopped off all the bleached tips to go for a buzzed short back and sides, slicking back the top in his natural black hair colour.

We can't quite tell if the new 'do is combed back and set with gel or wax, or if it's tied back. Now that would be a bold move, bringing back the man bun. But if anyone could...

It's certainly a different look, and fans in the comments see this new closer shaved look as a return closer to Zayn's previous style, leaving comments like;

"We missed uuuu"
"Where were you 🥺🤌🏻"

And everyone's favourite Twilight reference;

Everyone's clicking on...

"Zaynnnnn, where have you been locaaaa?!"

Well, either that or they mean they've missed him since he last posted one week ago but surely that's a bit extreme? We're gunna go with they missed the old Zayn.
