It's safe to say, Doja Cat is never afraid to experiment with her look. Just recently, she's experimented with a shaved brow and a micro fringe, but her latest look is definitely her boldest yet.
We had to do a double take and check it was really Doja Cat when we first saw these pics flood our Instagram feed, and you can't really blame us...
The singer stepped out to watch the Schiaparelli show at Paris Fashion Week, covered from head to toe in flaming red crystals. 30,000 of them to be exact. Talk about going the extra mile in the name of beauty.
It really is a work of art:
We're speechless.
The "Doja's Inferno" transformation was done by none other than legendary makeup artist, Pat McGrath. Each one of the 30,000 crystals was perfectly placed by hand and took Pat nearly five hours to complete. Talk about committing to your beauty look.
Everyone's clicking on...
If you're wondering exactly how the final look was done, Pat has kindly given us a glimpse of the long process below (don't worry, she's sped it up for us).
It really is mesmerising.
The look was said to create the idea of a live sculpture sitting in the front row. The internet (of course), has had its own take on the inspiration behind the crystallised look, but depite the memes, you can't deny how show-stopping this beauty look is.
Although we probably wouldn't try this one at home (now that would make an interesting commute to work), we are in awe of the time, effort and skills that went in to this iconic look. Bravo, glam squad.
