Perrie Edwards deserves a prize for services to freckles because her latest post makes me want to cry at just how beautiful her freckle-covered skin is. The singer is on a family holiday with fiancΓ© Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and their baby son Axel, and shared a carousel of gorgeous photos.

If I were being completely honest about the one thing everyone was commenting on, it would be just how much Axel has grown and just how cute he is. But between the cooing baby comments, there was also a flood of comments about Perrie's stunning sun-kissed freckles covering not only her face but her shoulders, chest, arms and legs too.

One fan poetically wrote in the comments; "Honestly I always liked freckles but on Perrie I'm truly appreciating the beauty of freckled skin. The 9th slide is what you call natural beauty 😍 truly chef's kiss πŸ’‹," while another went for one of my fave shouty caps style compliments; "FRECKLED QUEEN😍😍😍😍😍😍"

As the woefully freckle-less daughter of a redhead, who treasures my three freckles that are most probably hyperpigmentation, I couldn't agree more with comments like; "In love with your freckles."

Even bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock dropped a comment to say; "Your freckles mannn 😩😍😍"

It's lovely to see freckles truly being appreciated for their beauty in the last few years, and not just the ones scattering across the bridge of the nose. Gorgeous with and gorgeous without.
