One thing no one can argue about the Kardashian-Jenner clan is that they really go IN for Halloween. From the sister group costumes to the mommy-and-me sets, we love it all. But where they really go ham is the solo looks, and we could write dissertations on them. Kylie's bride of Frankenstein hair alone would deserve its own chapter.

Paired with sweept-up-flicked brows and stitched jaw details, courtesy of Ariel Tejada, the towering bouffant of unruly black and white streaked hair is instantly recognisable. It's the iconic look from the 1935 American science-fiction horror sequel The Bride of Frankenstein, recreated by stylist Tokyo Stylez (Mia Jackson).

But hear us out... we're also getting major Y2K flashbacks. In 2022, block streaks of platinum in raven hair may be best known as sported on Dua Lipa or Love Island's Indiyah Polak, not to mention allover TikTok. But for those of us old enough to remember first hand (or for cultural connoisseurs of noughties beauty), it's bringing some serious lewks flooding back.

Chunky highlights in general were the defining look of the era, but skunk-like two-tone combos of platinum and black were a particularly iconic moment in hairstory. Worn by pop royalty like Christina Aguilera, P!nk, Rihanna and Shakira, and ultimate TV it girls like Hillary Duff and Nicole Richie.

It didn't translate well in secondary school playgrounds across the country, particularly when paired with dodgy extensions. But the current nods to the noughties style are fixing up its sins for a serious cool girl aesthetic.

And we've never wanted to look like the Bride of Frankenstein more.

If you're tempted to go streaky yourself, perhaps without the bouffant, we've rounded up some of the best products. But DIY with caution and seek help from someone who knows what they're doing, or you might get a Halloween fright you weren't expecting...
