I don't know about you but back in the good ol' days (circa 2013), we were all about Ariana Grande's signature aesthetic – aka the half-up hairstyle, oversized jumper, and thigh-high boots look. There's no denying that we were all recreating it. And it seems that this trend has carried forward into 2022, with many fans still looking to Ari's iconic style for inspiration. I mean, who can blame them?
The latest recreation comes to us via the r.e.m. beauty Instagram page (Ari's very own skincare and makeup brand), where they shared a picture of makeup artist, Mia Galvan rocking the trademark Ariana hairstyle. The team captioned the post: "chapter 1 throwback with @miabgalvan 🐈⬛🤍♡ [...]" with details of the makeup look.
Whilst we love the overall glam, we have to say that at first glance, we thought this was Ariana herself. The hair, the makeup, the complexion, even the brows! The two really do have a lot of similarities. And it's not just us who think this, either. Fans took to the comments section to share their confusion:
One user wrote: "not me thinking it was ari at first 💀".
Someone else said: "i thought this was ari 🥲".
Whilst another added: "i thought ari brought the high pony back for a sec 🥲".
Everyone's clicking on...
Another put: "Not me thinking this was Ariana😭😭 but she’s really pretty😍😍🤍".
A fifth also wrote: "PLSSSSSS WHO ELSE THAT IT WAS ARIANA AT FIRST GLIMPSE 😭😭😭😭".
You know what this means, guys... we have yet another doppelgänger amongst us. But the real question is: can she sing as well as Ari can? Mia, do share!
