Like Kim Kardashian, Zendaya decided to switch over from the dark side and join team blonde, dyeing her hair a honey hue earlier this year. And as a fellow natural brunette, it was sad to see her go but it was fun while it lasted, I guess. Plus, I can't lie – the actor's lighter locks really did look incred.
Having said that, ever since the big reveal on her Instagram story back in March, we have been deprived, starved and outright refused any other sneak preview of Z's blonde locks. One could even say it was like dangling a carrot in front of a donkey *collective sigh*.
However, dramatics aside (sorry, not sorry), all faith has been restored with a brand new IG video from Zendaya herself. Now, unfortunately, it did appear on her story, therefore, it was only visible for a mere 24 hours but that ain't got nothing on my quick thinking – screenshots were quickly taken. You're welcome.
The four-second vid shows Zendaya flaunting a look at her warm-toned hair, which looks an even brighter shade of blonde than before. She also seems to have choppier layers and even writes: "I feel like I just cut my hair". Now, IDK whether this is a hint or not but perhaps she got a few inches chopped off at the bottom, too? Either that or she's just having one of those days that we all have when something just feels... well, off.
Regardless, it has to be said that the golden buttery hue suits her so well. Blonde for summer? Groundbreaking. No, seriously, it is groundbreaking!
