Blake Lively may have just won the Met Ball red carpet with her iconic Statue of Liberty inspired Versace dress, but that doesn't mean she isn't still as relatable as ever.

If I had the beauty and fame that Blake has, I would be totally out of touch with reality. But somehow the actress has always stayed grounded, and she proved with her latest Instagram post.

While Blake's Met Ball look has been photographed far and wide, we didn't even realise she was out partying the night before in another incredible dress.

For her "night before party" Blake wore a Thom Brown dress, which was split in two. One side being a silver, sequinned gown, the other a tailored suit.

Clearly keen to get her beauty sleep, Blake revealed that she was home by 9pm and as everyone else in her house was asleep she was forced to take her outfit pictures herself on self timer.

We've all been there. The self timer outfit photos that is. Not coming home to our husband, Ryan Reynolds, being asleep at 9pm.

Everyone's clicking on...

As much as we loved the dress, it was Blake's selfie that caught out eye in particular. It was this natural image of Blake, filter-free, with makeup that's ready to be washed off.

It just makes you realise how used we've become to seeing ridiculously smooth, airbrushed photos on our feeds.

And I clearly wasn't the only one thinking it, as one comment with 337 likes said, "No filters, that's the best way".

Please never change, Blake.
