Within the past 24 hours, everyone – aka, everybody on social media – has either been preoccupied with playing Miranda Priestly in ranking the looks of the 2022 Met Gala (same, TBH), obsessing over Kim Kardashian's new bleach blonde hair transformation, or even fixated on Kendall Jenner's overlined lips (again, same).
However, the one Kardashian-Jenner family member, and arguably the ringleader of the entire squad, who has flown under the radar of Kylie's gigantic wedding dress (metaphorically speaking, of course) is none other than Kris Jenner.
Everyone's favourite momager, Kris, did in fact attend this year's Met and on the red carpet, she wore a very sophisticated one-shoulder Oscar de la Renta yellow dress. As beautiful as this fashion statement was, the most transformative part of the look has to be the hair.
For as long as we can remember, Kris has been known for her trademark pixie cut, however, last month she actually did change up her signature look for a blunt bob cut and piece-y sweeping fringe. And as we can see from her above Instagram post, the Kardashian's reality star liked the look so much that she decided to rock it again at the biggest fashion event of the year.
In a YouTube video with Vogue, Kris revealed the inspiration behind her flicked-out bob whilst getting ready for the big evening. She said: "I'm kind of channelling [...] Jacqueline Kennedy a little bit with my dress so we're trying to figure out hair and want something that's fun and playful...".
And while celebrity hair stylist, Léa Journo, works Kris' locks, Fernando Garcia, the creative director of Oscar de la Renta reveals: "I got a little hint from a birdie what the carpet was going to look like. [So] it made sense to go the presidential route".
