Yes, all the 'Rumours' are true. Lizzo did in fact play the flute live on the steps of the 2022 Met Gala red carpet in New York City at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Indeed, she was 'Good as Hell'.

Now, puns and talent aside, the singer served a spectacular lewk at the annual fashion event of the year, wearing a custom black and gold Thom Brown corset dress, styled by Jason Rembert. However, it's not the gown that had us all gawking, but the OTT hair, makeup, and nails. But is this a surprise? Lizzo is never one to do things by halves now, is she? And no, that's not a question you need to consider answering.

Celebrity hairstylist Shelbeniece Swain was the genius behind the star's 1920s finger wave down 'do, makeup artist Alexx Mayo put together the vamp lip and glowy skin glam, and nail artist Eri Ishizu perfected the fingertips.

However, these were no ordinary fingertips. Instead of opting for a classic gel mani or even a bejewelled coffin shape acrylic extension set, Lizzo went the whole nine yards and got spirali pasta-inspired nails! That's the spiral shape if you hadn't already guess.

Hungry? Me too🍝.

When interviewed by Vanessa Hudgens and Hamish Bowles and asked about her nails, Lizzo said: "So basically [...] Imma be opening everybody's wine tonight, so that's why I've got these corkscrew nails." Corkscrew, spirali pasta... same vibes, right?

Everyone's clicking on...

She continued: "They're amazing, I can wipe my ass with them, so...". I mean, I wasn't going to mention it but I'm sure many of us were concerned for her welfare for a second there.

IMO I think it's pretty impressive to just be able to play the flute as is, let alone with XXL pasta nails. Flautists, especially Lizzo, I commend you.
