When it comes to hairstyles, Kim Kardashian has no doubt got the biggest inspo file of all. From poker-straight hip-skimming tresses to Draco Malfoy-esque platinum blonde, the Skims founder is never one to shy away from experimenting with a new 'do.
And with an abundance of looks there comes plenty of iconic references – but the one she does best? Well, the '90s, of course. Whether that be channelled through an epic throwback moment on Instagram or with an OTT Halloween costume, the Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s star pulls through time and time again.
Most recently, Kim took to The Ellen DeGeneres Show to share all kinds of deets surrounding her relationship with Pete Davidson, including the three tattoos he has dedicated to her (brave, IK). But aside from this, the one thing that got an audible "wow" from me was the prime 90s Pamela Anderson-inspired updo. Can we just take a mo', please?
Of course, the brains behind this artistry was none other than Kim’s go-to hairstylist, Chris Appleton – and he even took to Instagram to show off his work:
With all the hype surrounding the Pam & Tommy miniseries on Disney+ aaaand the influx of Pam's aesthetic making a comeback on TikTok (Gen-Z like to call this #pamcore), it is no surprise that Kim has also jumped on the bandwagon.
However, this isn’t the first time the mum-of-four has rocked a Pam-inspired look. Back in 2018, Kim and her BFF Jonathan Cheban (aka FoodGod) recreated Pam and Tommy Lee’s 1999 VMAs look for the spooky szn. So, I guess you could say Kim was way ahead of the curve when it comes to the recent Pam hype.
Everyone's clicking on...
Now, if only Chris could share a tutorial on how to get the look. Hint hint, nudge nudge…
