If you were a 90s baby, you know you’re pretty lucky. It was a decade filled with oversized school blazers and tiny school ties, Saved by the Bell and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, practicing the dance moves from the latest Spice Girls videos in your bedroom and living in a cloud of Impulse or The Body Shop’s White Musk. Truly wholesome times.

Through it all, there were also some epic beauty moments, too. Of course, we had baby blue eyeshadow and frosty lipstick, but we’re talking about the hairstyles. From large face-framing sections and hair accessories to choppy layers, pixies and blunt bobs, all of the major trends from the decade are still just as popular on our Instagram feeds today. Case-in-point: Lizzo and Alicia Keys trying butterfly clips, Zendaya’s epic hair flip moment and even J-Lo rocking a 90s bombshell moment.

Yep, our 12-year-old selves would be very proud.

To finish the look, Halley has teased out large sections on both sides to frame Lily’s face, giving it the ultimate 90s vibe. For a slightly more modern feel, Halley gave the front sections a subtle curl so that these sections don’t just fall flat against her face.

Honestly, we’re just glad that all those photobooth pictures we used to take with our friends down the local high street on the weekends (anybody else?) are trendy again. Now, to dig out that crocodile clip…
