There are two types of Euphoria fans: those who can't breathe throughout an entire episode and those who are only invested in the makeup fantasies of Donni Davy’s genius looks. Side note: does anyone know if face gems are accepted as suitable workwear attire? But no matter which camp you fall in, there's one thing that unites us: our awe of just how incredible the actors on the show are – both on and off screen.
Maude Apatow, who plays Lexi Howard in the hit HBO show, shared her (very normal) acne battles whilst filming and her guide to taming these breakouts. We love a transparent kween👏.
Sharing some behind-the-scenes set secrets in a Vogue interview, the actress explained: “I was shooting Euphoria a couple of months ago and I got like three gigantic zits on my forehead […] you couldn’t cover them up they were so big and they stuck out”.
So relatable.
“We were shooting, and I said to Sam, our director: 'I’ve got these zits, be careful with the lighting and stuff ‘cause I don’t want to accentuate them'", Maude shared.
The star continued on by saying that when she started working and wearing more makeup, her skin actually got “a lot worse” and therefore, she needed a skincare routine.
Everyone's clicking on...
Coming away from watching the video and taking in all of the tips shared, I have two takeaways for you. Firstly, do not pick at your skin, like, ever. And secondly, make sure to take your makeup off at the end of the day.
I guess it's safe to say that Maude is just as iconic IRL as she is on screen 👑.
