Kourtney Kardashian just rocked a classic secondary school hairstyle at the VMAs

When I scroll through secondary pictures on Facebook (um, did I just give away my age there?), it’s clear that I went through cycles with my hairstyles.

There was the obsession with tooth bomb headbands (still waiting for these to make a comeback TBH), side-parted ponytails and even an, admittedly, crap-looking side fringe that consisted of three strands of hair. Thankfully, I later realised and got the thickest side fringe ever. One that left my looking through just one eye most of the time.

But through all the years, there’s one hairstyle I always seemed to go back to: a ponytail or half-up hairdo that was only complete when I pulled out two pieces on either side of my face. And I have no doubt that you did it, too.

It seems we were all ahead of our time because now, Kourtney Kardashian just wore our favourite secondary school hairstyle to the MTV VMAs.

Her hair was parted down the middle and slicked back into a neat bun by celebrity hairstyle Andrew Fitzsimons. To finish, two strands of hair were pulled out to frame her face. While Kourt didn’t complete her look with a McKenzie zip-up and JD Sports pull-string bag like I would, the results are still… *chefs kiss*.
