Avril Lavigne posted a seriously cute beach selfie on her Instagram stories yesterday and I am genuinely scratching my head at how the 36-year-old never seems to age.
I'm honestly quite invested in the theory that there is an underground Hollywood vampire ring after Jennifer Aniston also posted a no makeup selfie and similarly appeared to defy the laws of ageing at 52.
Now while Avril didn't ditch her makeup entirely for this selfie - the black eyeliner life chose her - she did sport a much more minimal look than we're used to seeing her with.
Let's call this her beach eyeliner look. It's still there, is Avril Lavigne even Avril Lavigne without her black liner? But it wasn't as heavy as we're used to seeing and she skipped her signature lower lash liner altogether.
I guess even celebrities have to be practical from time to time, even the most waterproof formula is going to struggle when faced with those waves.
With her eyeliner Avril looks like she's still in her twenties and without it she genuinely looks like your little teenage sister.
Everyone's clicking on...
I wish she would drop her skincare routine already.
Maybe she is following in the footsteps of Hailey Bieber and is on a prescription retinol routine?
Either that or all those years wearing formal wear (never forget the tie) had some kind of Tom Hanks Big effect on her.
All I know is that I'm going straight onto Spotify to relive my teenage years... even if my face is no longer recognisable from back then.
