Lana Del Rey just revealed her natural skin texture and I'm mesmerised

Somehow that's not what I was expecting...

Despite pandemic-related challenges a-plenty, Lana Del Rey has cycled through a whole load of hair switch-ups and looks in the past 12 months - from champagne blonde to Marilyn Monroe throwback curls to lemon-lightened blonde (do not try at home) and beyond.

And for each hair transformation, there's been a seflie to accompany the look.

But there's one celebrity selfie genre LDR hasn't spent much time embarking upon - and that's the zero filter selfie genre. Sounds specific, I know, but trust us - it's A Thing.

With more time on their hands (and less of a will to scroll through filters / dig out the ring lights), many stars spent the best part of 2021 leaning into their real-life faces and enjoying the fact they could go au natural on the gram without judgement. Mad that it took a pandemic to get us to that point, granted, but still a positive.

Anyway, long story short, we've seen tonnes of natural skin texture selfies from the likes of Hailey Bieber (who, as a side-note, swears by sea water as a complexion hack by the way), Billie Eilish, Perrie Edwards, Lizzo and beyond.

And as of yesterday, Lana's own totally natural selfie has been added to the archives. Snapped on the beach, looking totally serene, Lana can be seen chilling and enjoying the seaside air. And, on closer inspection, though she may be wearing a little makeup, her real pores, bumps and lovely fine lines are fully visible thanks to a distinct lack of filter. And she looks all the more incredible for it, if you ask us.

Also - for a celebrity who has long been required to wear makeup, party, travel and commit all other kinds of skin sins on the reg, it's amazing to see how healthy her skin looks, no?
