Finding your perfect eyebrow product is as hard as finding a decent match on Hinge, but when you do find the one you cling onto it for dear life.

We always keep our ear to the ground for new recommendations, so when celebrity makeup artist Nikki DeRoest shared that one of her all time favourite products cost just £6.99, we immediately knew it was worth our time.

With clients including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Emma Stone and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Nikki's Instagram is one of our go-tos for makeup inspiration.

In a dedicated Instagram post, Nikki revealed that despite having access to every high end brand imaginable, it's actually Maybelline who make her favourite eyebrow gels.

"DRUGSTORE GEM: always and forever have been a huge fan of @maybelline brow gels," she wrote. "They took away the Brow Drama and I had a meltdown....but behold.... they replaced it with BROW FAST SCULPT."

"Here’s how i apply brow gel, and a hot tip is to get a shade lighter than you actually think you’d need. I’m wearing soft brown in this video."

The tinted gel (which is also available in clear) comes with a super precise brush, you can tame even the smallest of hairs into place.

Thankfully Nikki also accompanied the video with a mini tutorial on how she applies it, which spoiler alert is a total gamechanger.

Starting at the tail of her brow, Nikki brushes the gel through in the opposite direction to her hair growth, "until it looks like a scary caterpillar".

Then she goes back through and brushes the brows back into place, that way she's filled in all the gaps you would otherwise miss.

We'll never apply our brow gel the same way again...
