As iconic makeup looks go, Britney Spears has been making eyeliner her signature style for years now.
The 'Baby One More Time' singer posts endless pictures and videos to her social media pages, and always rocks heavy eye makeup and a low-key lip. However, she revealed that she's been experimenting with less liner, and is loving the natural result.
"Who would have thunk it ?!?!" she wrote on Instagram, sharing a picture sans-eyeliner. "After all this time in my life I’m just now learning that no makeup is the way to go... I mean... a little makeup is fun but after spending so much time in hair and makeup chairs to look flawless... I think a natural look is the way to go... it makes you look waaaay younger and so much better."
She added: "Pssss YES .... I know I’m wearing mascara in this 😉 !!!!"
And just to prove that this wasn't a one-off, she then shared more selfies, which appear to have been taken in the same spot.
However, despite the seemingly innocent post, some fans commented their concern for the singer, who has been the subject of much scrutiny recently over the #FreeBritney movement.

Followers have become increasingly concerned about her legal guardianship contract, which sees her father Jamie Spears have complete control of her finances and decision-making.
Supporters of the movement are adamant that Britney has been manipulated, is being controlled by her father and should have greater autonomy over her own life. However, other sources report that she is already heavily involved in any decision-making and that she is happy with the arrangement.
We may not know the truth about Britney's life, but we hope she's happy.
