When Emily Ratajkowski went blonde at the end of June, we thought she looked incredible.

Although, let's be honest, when does she ever look anything less than jaw-dropping.

Turns out, some hateful people on social media thought otherwise and have been flooding her Instagram with completely unnecessary and unsolicited comments, telling her that she should go back to being brunette.

Under her Instagram post one man wrote, "Forever I have said that you can’t go wrong with anything you do. But this blond hair is big NO!"

"Go back to brown!!!" another woman shouted out in the comments. Not to forget this piece of patronising advice, "Your natural colour is better babe".

Emily had somehow managed to bite her tongue (we could never), but finally addressed the comments in a video on her Instagram stories on Friday.

Everyone's clicking on...

"Hey everyone. This is a message for all the men and the women who've been commenting, 'Go back to brunette,' 'You look so much better as a brunette,' she said.

"Stop telling women what to do with their hair. And their bodies."

Louder for the people in the back.

While it's easy to think that a celebrity like Emily with 26 million followers will never see your comment, please question why you're leaving it.

Would you stop someone in the street to tell them you didn't like their hair? Why does it matter to you and how would you feel if someone commented the same thing on one of your posts?

Precisely....
