Does a celeb hair transformation even exist if it doesn’t get a trillion likes on Instagram? Or at least a couple of compliments from said celeb's equally famous pals?

(It’s a rhetorical question but the answer is no, in case you were wondering).

The A-list elite got busy over the weekend, filling our feeds with yet more everyday glam selfies and out-there dye jobs. This harmless attention grabbing not only entertains the masses, but proves very productive when it comes to promoting new music.

We told you about Dua Lipa doing her own make-up for a quarantine photoshoot ahead of the release of Future Nostalgia, and now Selena Gomez is doing some self-promotion of her own, using the well-known marketing tool of … a cute '90s fringe! (or arched bangs, according to Teen Vogue).

On April 8, she took to Instagram ahead of the release of the deluxe version of her album Rare, with a selfie that made us want to dig out our scrunchies and platform trainers. In it, she sported a VERY red lipstick and a VERY curled-under fringe, with the caption: “There’s a difference between a want and a need. Some nights I just want more than me.”

Totes cryptic, huh?

Everyone's clicking on...

And the fringe? So ‘90s it hurts.

She also played a song in the background which is rumoured to be the album's bonus track, “Boyfriend.”

In a second pic, Selena can be seen wearing a very low-cut, shimmery-pink dress, with the caption: “Oh baby you’re enough to get you out of this place.”

We’ll be buying the album, Sel (and spending an entire day trying to curl our fringes over, obvs).
