Following in the footsteps of Kylie Jenner, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and many more, Selena Gomez has announced she's venturing into the world of beauty and launching her own brand: Rare Beauty.

The news originally came out in August 2019, after Selena's trademarks for various skin, hair, body, cosmetic, fragrance and nail products were leaked.

Now, Selena has made it official, posting a video to her Instagram sharing the ethos of her line.

"Being rare is about being comfortable with yourself," she begins. "I've stopped trying to be perfect, I just want to be me."

Giving us some Goop vibes, Selena shared her big picture dreams for her company. "I think Rare Beauty could be more than a beauty brand. I want us all to stop comparing ourselves to each another and just start embracing our own uniqueness.

"You're not defined by a photo, a like, or a comment. Rare Beauty isn't about how other people see you, it's about how you see yourself."

Everyone's clicking on...

This is all well and good, but there's one major problem, it doesn't look like Rare Beauty will be available in the UK.

In her announcement, Selena revealed that Rare Beauty is launching only in Sephora stores in North America this summer.

Yep, once again, when it comes to beauty, the UK loses out, because in the year of 2020 we still don't have a Sephora.

God damn it.

Here's hoping that Selena might do a Kylie and ship from her own website because ICYMI, Sephora also stopped shipping here.
