It's every girl's worst nightmare. The scenario goes like this: you're bleaching or straightening your hair, somewhere along the line you apply too much heat/chemicals and your poor strands snap right off.
Unfortunately, this is exactly the situation Billie Eillish recently found herself in. Yep, news just in: Billie's blast from the past mullet was actually a total (and rather horrendous) hair accident.
If there's one thing BE has never been afraid to experiment with, it's her hair. She's had more colours that we can count, from green to silver and white to blue, all in the past year.
We don't know how she does it, but she can literally make any beauty trend look cool AF. Whether it's neon green roots or 90s-inspired space buns, she doesn't play it safe and she's forever serving us killer hair-spiration.
So, when she stepped out at the LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles with a rather out there mullet haircut, we were kind of in awe. Only Billie could pull of such a badass hairstyle and actually make it look good.
We didn't for one second think that the new 'do was unintentional, but that's exactly what came to light after a recent run in with a TMZ reporter, who asked if the mullet was here to stay...
Everyone's clicking on...
"That's so mean," she replied. "No listen, you know what happened? Somebody dyed my hair and they burnt half of it off." OMFG we're shuddering at the very thought.
She then added: "That sh*t is not on purpose though, I'm growing that sh*t out."
So, for those who were vibing the style - it's sad news, as Billie has no intention of keeping it. Still, the fact that she managed to pull it off like a boss is proof that BE really can make anything look good.
