If you've been anywhere near Instagram today, chances are, you'll have seen a sneak preview of Vogue's September issue, which has been guest-edited by The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.

Teaming up with Vogue's Editor-in-Chief, Edward Enninful, to produce the 'Forces for Change' issue, Meghan opted to feature 15 powerful women on the cover. All of whom she hand-selected as being 'trailblazers for equality and advancers of important conversation'.

However, there was one small detail that Meghan reportedly insisted on seeing on the cover. Photographer, Peter Lindbergh, opened up about a phone call he'd had with The Duchess, he said: "My instructions from the Duchess were clear: 'I want to see freckles!'"

"Well, that was like running through open doors for me. I love freckles".

It's no secret that Meghan is a fan of freckles, her former makeup artist, Lydia Sellers, had previously spoken about how The Duchess always opted for lighter coverage makeup, which would allow her freckles to show through. Speaking to Refinery29, Lydia explained "every time I'd do her makeup, she'd say, 'Can we just make sure my freckles are peeking through? I don't want a tonne of foundation.'"

We're all for a lightweight base, and if you are too, check out these dewy-finish foundations...
