If you're wondering why you keep seeing pictures of Rihanna dressed like the Pope, it's because the 2018 Met Gala took place last night and the theme was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.
I myself have never thought of my body as 'heavenly', but it does look somewhat like those chubby little cherubs that you see on church ceilings, so maybe I am hot after all.
One person who undoubtedly does have a heavenly body is supermodel Ashley Graham, which was on full display yesterday on those infamous Met steps.
But if you thought that Ashley rolled out of bed looking that good (you were probably right), the model took to Instagram Stories to share her rigorous pampering routine. And let's just say there's a bit more to it than fake tanning your visible body parts aka my own 'out, out' routine.
To start with Ashley went through the torturous task of having her nose hairs lasered because there's two things they check when you arrive at the Met Ball: Your invite and your nose hair length. Too long and you ain't getting in.
For any major event we all want our skin to look our best, so we totally get why Ashley would go and have a facial...on her boobs. Wait, what?
Everyone's clicking on...
Yeah breast facials are a thing and not a dirty thing before you go reporting me.
Oxygen facials work by using a machine to spray atomised moisturisers, using a stream of pressurised oxygen. The result is meant to give instantly smoother and plumper skin, so tbh I wouldn't mind my 'girls' undergoing the same treatment.
If you thought Ashley was done there, think again. Next up a gold sheet mask because everything's more boujee in gold, followed by an LED light facial to boost collagen production in the skin and treat acne.
And for her final hurrah, Ashley showed real dedication to the cause by chopping her hair off into a sleek bob.
While I don't think Ashley needs any of this because she could literally go out with some last minute applied Rimmel Sun Shimmer and look phenomenal. I appreciate her so much for actually sharing what goes into a major red carpet appearance.
It just makes my cherub body feel that little bit better you know.
