Given that we collectively spend so much time scrolling on our phones, whether it's through Instagram Stories, our TikTok feed, or simply our email inbox (where the hell are those tickets!?), the last thing we want to do is scroll forever on Netflix to find something to watch.

While there are plenty of amazing TV series to watch on Netflix (and movies, too), actually finding them can be a bit of a mean feat... which is probably why so many of us end up rewatching the same things over and over again. If you've got a movie night on the cards and want to avoid that very fate, then we might have the film for you.

Venom: The Last Dance stars two of our favourite actors and is action-packed from start to finish. This is all before we mention the thrilling twist you literally won't see coming! Here's everything you need to know about Venom: The Last Dance, including who is in it and how to stream for free in the UK...

What is Venom: The Last Dance about?

The Venom series (which is made up of three films, so far) is based on the Marvel comic of the same name. Venom: The Last Dance is the third movie in the series, but for context, here's what Marvel has to say about the character before we bring you details of the movie's plot.

"A hulking and twisted distortion of Spider-Man, Venom is the result of an alien symbiote merged with a human holding a bitter grudge against Peter Parker," Marvel explains of what – or who – Venom is. "Despite his hatred of Spider-Man, Venom has a twisted sense of morality, avoiding harming anyone he deems to be innocent and even performing heroic deeds."

That said, Marvel notes that "it is never clear how long Venom's darker impulses can be held in check. No matter how hard anyone tries to keep the symbiote down, Venom always manages to come back, like a plague." Scary stuff, eh!?

Now, onto the synopsis for Venom: The Last Dance. "After being accused of murdering Detective Mulligan, Eddie Brock and his symbiote, Venom, hide out in Mexico until Eddie decides they should go to New York and clear his name," it says. "Unfortunately for them, an alien being called a Xenophage is tracking their every move for Knull, a supervillain deity."

The synopsis continues: "Knull wants the Xenophage to track down Eddie and Venom’s Codex, a mysterious life force that was created after Venom resuscitated Eddie, as depicted in Venom (2018). And Knull’s monster isn’t the only one desperate to find Eddie/Venom: The team at Imperium, a secret government lab, intends to trap Venom for their research. With so many obstacles ahead, will Eddie and Venom make it to NYC with their bond intact?"
