"Stephen Graham is exceptional": Where to watch actor as twisted serial killer in new prison drama

The words 'national treasure' get thrown around a lot, but Stephen Graham really is deserving of the title. From his involvement in Adolescence, the Netflix series which changed the narrative around the manosphere, to his brilliant performance in Peaky Blinders, we really are big fans.

Which is why we're always pleased to hear of a new project he's in - especially when it's a gritty police drama that shows off his range. Here's everything you need to know about Nocturne, from where to watch it, what it's about and who else is in it.

Nocturne is a "riveting new drama" based on the internationally bestselling crime novels Lazarus and The Sandman by Lars Kepler. It follows a detective investigating the twisted crimes of a serial killer, who is searching for both missing victims - and answers.

The official description reads, "The project tells the story of Jonah Lynn, an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who, tired of working the tough streets of Philadelphia, moves to a small town in western Pennsylvania for a quiet life.

"But, as the town and his family come under attack from the diabolically cunning serial killer Jurek Walter, Jonah must protect all that he holds dear. When the desperate search for Jurek’s last missing victim forces Jonah to send his surrogate daughter, FBI Agent Saga Bauer, up against Jurek, how far will Jonah go?"

Stephen Graham looks exceptional in the role of Jurek Walter, the twisted serial killer behind bars.

Actor Award winner, Emmy Award nominee and Golden Globe nominee Liev Schreiber, who you'll recognise from projects like The Perfect Couple and Caught Stealing, plays Jonah Lynn, the detective investigating the murders.

Emmy Award nominee Zazie Beetz from Joker and Bullet Train plays FBI Agent Saga Bauer, who investigates the case alongside her surrogate father Jonah.
