'Jason Statham at his absolute best': His gritty action-packed police drama is now streaming for free

If you're tired of endlessly scrolling on Netflix for a good film to watch, then listen up. You can now stream one of Jason Statham's best movies – for free!

While fans of Jason (read: us) eagerly await the cinematic release of his new movie, Mutiny, there's no better time to binge his back-catalogue. Speaking of which, Blitz came out over a decade ago but somehow slipped our collective radar, so it's basically like a brand-new release, IMO.

Here's everything you need to know about Blitz, an action-packed thriller movie, including who else is in it and how to stream it here in the UK...

Although the name suggests Blitz could be a WW2 epic, it's actually about a serial killer targeting police in the city of London and is based on the book of the same name from author Ken Bruen.

According to one synopsis, Blitz follows Detective Sergeant Brant, "an old-style copper, who is in trouble with the press." In a bid to salvage his reputation the detective is tasked with finding a "crazed serial killer calling himself the Blitz, who is bumping off police officers" in the UK's capital.

While there are some mixed reviews for Blitz from critics, one thing is clear: Jason Statham is stellar in the 2011 film.

"[Jason] Statham has never been better," one viewer said in their Rotten Tomatoes review, describing the movie as "gritty."

"A rough-cut crime thriller that sees Jason Statham back on familiar turf and doing what he does best," added another, as a third chimed in with: "So much fun to watch."
