After what feels like an eternity (well it has been five years since the last movie) Spider-Man: Brand New Day has arrived in cinemas, bringing us another epic instalment in the MCU.
And like with most MCU movies we were very intrigued to find out if this new film would include a post-credits scene that would give us some major clues about what to expect next.
The new film runs for just over two and a half hours, but after that are there any extra scenes to whet our appetite for more? Well here's what you need to know about the post-credits scene.
Is there a post-credits scene in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
Yes! This is your official confirmation that there is indeed a post-credits scene in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. There's no in-credits scene, so you need to wait for the entire credits to run to watch the surprise scene.
And if you're happy for spoilers, or CBA to stay in the cinema to watch the scene, read onto find out what happens in the post-credits scene.
What happens in the post-credits scene in Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
Ok so there's actually no actors featured in the post-credits scene. Instead the scene focusses on Ned's Spider-Tracker app, which pop-ups with a new notification alerting to the presence of a new Spider-Man location. After being unable to see the location, the tracker ends up zooming out more and more until finally Spider-Man's location is revealed. The location in question? Out in space. A brief message then pops up saying: "Spider-Man Will Return."
So, what does this actually mean? Well some fans are theorising this could mean an appearance of Spider-Man in Avengers: Doomsday when the movie comes out in December late this year, however, this has not yet been confirmed. Or some are saying it's simply setting up for the following Avengers movie Avengers: Secret Wars which comes out in December 2027.
Guess we'll just have to (im)patiently wait to find out for sure!
