Is there anything worse than scrolling through Netflix in desperate search for something half decent? Well...thankfully, you don't need to.

There's one chilling thriller that will sort out your watching needs, and it’s currently in the top 10 on Netflix (for a reason).

The Woman in the Wall is a haunting and thought-provoking drama that blends psychological suspense with a heartbreaking historical backdrop – and it'll have you hooked from the outset.

With a gripping mystery, eerie atmosphere and an unforgettable lead performance from Ruth Wilson, it definitely deserves the next spot on your watchlist.

What is The Woman in the Wall about?

Set in the fictional Irish town of Kilkinure, The Woman in the Wall follows Lorna Brady, a woman haunted by the trauma of spending her childhood in a Magdalene Laundry.

Lorna suffers from extreme sleepwalking episodes and one morning wakes to discover a dead woman in her home. Unsure whether she's responsible or whether someone else is involved, she finds herself pulled into a terrifying mystery while confronting the painful memories she's spent years trying to bury.

At the same time, Detective Colman Akande is investigating a separate murder that gradually becomes intertwined with Lorna's story, leading to a series of shocking revelations.

Part psychological thriller, part crime drama, the series explores grief, guilt and institutional abuse, and it’ll keep you guessing until the very end.
