Ever since the arrival of Richard Osman's The Thursday Murder Club book series, we've been captivated by cosy crime dramas. From Beyond Paradise, to Ludwig, and Death Valley, these shows have got a special place in our hearts and now there's a new one to add to the list as The Hairdresser Mysteries arrives to screens today.
The new BBC drama series follows Lily Petal, played by Sally Phillips, a hairdresser who moves to a small town and ends up solving crimes thanks to her secret gathering skills as a hairdresser.

Who is Lily Petal? Lily is the series lead character, a hairdresser who leaves the intensity of the city to set up a hairdressers at the top of a cobbled street in a small village. As she settles into village life she finds herself getting pulled into solving a number of mysteries.
What else has Sally Phillips been in? Sally is of course best known for starring in all the Bridget Jones movies, as Bridget's best friend Shazza. She's also been in We Might Regret This, Queenie, Breeders, Veep and Trollied amongst many others.
Charlotte Jordan as Clary Coombs
Who is Clary Coombs? Clary is Lily's eager young assistant and ends up helping Lily in her many cases across the village.
What else has Charlotte Jordan been in? Charlotte is best known for starring in Coronation Street as Daisy Midgeley. She's also had a role in The Archers as Amber Gordon.
Ben Castle-Gibb as PC Adam
Who is PC Adam? As the name suggests Adam is a police officer in the local village and also has a big crush on Clary.

Guy Henry as Race Runard
