In only eight episodes, Sterling Point season 1 delivers eight cliffhangers, and some other reveals along the way. You kind of can’t help but want for more. Here’s what we know about Sterling Point season 2.
The first season of Sterling Point introduced high school graduate Annie Jacobson (Ella Rubin), her twin brother Connor (Keen Ruffalo), and their adoptive mother’s secret biological half-sister Ramona (Amélie Hoeferle). How do they meet? Because their collective grandfather dies and leaves the three of them a whole island in Canada. No biggie!
When Annie, and later Connor, get to the island they meet a lot of new people and learn a lot of new secrets. They also might find the community they didn’t know they were missing. Is this the start of a seasons-long obsession? We’ll see!
Alright, has Sterling Point been renewed for season 2?
Thankfully, Amazon very quickly listened to our pleas and officially renewed Sterling Point for season 2. The news came in on August 20, 2026, just two weeks after the show originally premiered, which just shows what a massive hit it has been for Prime Video and also how much we need it back ASAP.
What would Sterling Point season 2 be about?
Well... unlike a lot of Prime Originals, this show is actually not based on a book or series of books. So we don’t know where creator Megan Park and the Savage and Schwartz contingent will take this story next.
Are more secrets going to unfold about Annie, Ramona, Ellis, and Connor’s super complicated family? Will Annie choose between Rory and Ellis? Will Ramona make Oona her wifey, like for real? Will any other romantic storylines crop up? Looking at you, Connor and/or Sully!
Park told Entertainment Weekly that she’s hoping to explore the parents, especially the identity of Oona’s mom and the history of Joe and Ramona’s (and Annie and Connor’s) mom. And as for the estranged half-ish sisters: “Season 1, you do spend a lot of time setting up the world, and then I do almost feel like if you get a season 2, it’s when you relax and go deeper,” Park said. The girls “switch lives, so there’s a lot for a second season to come back to. And then there’s also the whole thing about when Ramona turns 18, what’s gonna happen with the property?”
When will Sterling Point season 2 be about?
Now that the show got that sweet renewal, how long will it be until we actually see it? Let’s use The Summer I Turned Pretty as an example, because it ran for a decent amount of time. The first season of that series dropped in 2023, and then the second in 2023. It took until 2025 for TSITP season 3, but only because of the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes. So, it’s entirely possible that Sterling Point could be back in 2027. We just need some stars to align.
