Married at First Sight is officially back for its milestone 20th season, just in time for us to obsess over yet another reality dating (or marriage?) show this summer. The season kicked off Sunday, July 12, and we can expect to see another four Seattle-based couples meet/tie the knot in the next few episodes, which hit Peacock on Thursday, July 16.

One of the couples in question? That’d be Courteney Landis and Nick Uhlenhuth, the latter of whom miiight look a little familiar if you’ve watched any other reality show, ever.

As you start to swoon over his charm and good looks, you might be wondering who Nick even is and how he managed to land on another show like MAFS. Get ready to scroll and drop this link to your group chats as you gather for the next batch of episodes.

Nick is an MIT grad-turned-tech whiz

According to his LinkedIn profile, Nick graduated from MIT with a degree in computer science in 2016 and has even gone on to work for companies like Microsoft and Shoot360.

He has a twin brother

Nick has a twin brother named Zack, who also graduated from MIT and works in tech. Oh, and they also have a sister, Kasey, who reportedly worked at Microsoft like Nick. Guess being a tech genius runs in the family!

He used to post drum covers on YouTube

Along my deep-dive scroll on Nick, I discovered that he’s a drummer who’s covered artists from 5 Seconds of Summer and Olivia Rodrigo to Phil Collins.

It seems like he hasn’t been as active these days, but at least we can still watch his older uploads, which date back to 2011.

Nick has been on three other reality shows

Yep. He’s no stranger to being in front of some cameras, as he first appeared on Netflix’s The Circle back in 2021. ICYMI, he played the game as a watered-down version of himself and made it all the way to fifth place!

Nick also appeared on Perfect Match’s first season in 2023 (more on that later!) and Netflix’s survival reality series Battle Camp in 2025.

Now, his involvement in MAFS marks a pleasant surprise for the franchise. Aside from Jamie Otis—who appeared on the show’s first season and previously starred on The Bachelor—Nick is the only other MAFS cast member who’s ever been on another reality show. Cool-cool-cool.

Side note: Despite his reality TV past, Nick says he did MAFS for the right reasons. After a critic on Threads responded to his casting news with, “I’m not getting casting a reality star on this show. It’s supposed to be regular genuine people and I’m sorry if this is your 3rd reality show you’re just looking to be on another show. Lame,” Nick said, “I’ve done two strategy shows and 1 dating show (which was 4 years ago). How dare I want to find love lol. Hope you watch!”

He said what he said!

He’s romanced some other reality TV stars

Remember when I said Nick was on Perfect Match? Well, he ended up exploring connections with a few of the girls that season, including The Circle’s Savannah Palacio, Too Hot to Handle’s Izzy Fairthorne, and Love Is Blind’s Lauren Chamblin.

Outside of the show, he also sparked romance rumors with The Bachelorette’s Katie Thurston when they spent New Year’s Eve together in 2023. According to Us Weekly, Nick snuck a shot with her into a since-deleted photo dump ringing in the new year…and according to an eagle-eyed fan on TikTok, there was another pic of them kissing that never made it into their main feeds.

Neither of them confirmed or denied the rumors at the time, and it seemed like a one-time thing, since they weren’t ever spotted together afterward. Not that it matters, because apparently, he fully got married to Oracle executive/fellow fitness enthusiast Courteney back in September 2025 as part of MAFS…or did he?

Guess you’ll have to tune in to Married at First Sight to find out!
