• Harry Jowsey took to Instagram to deny claims from Let’s Marry Harry contestants who said they didn’t know they were signing up for a dating show centered around him, urging them to “stop the lies” ahead of the August 26 reunion special.
  • Multiple girls, including Rickiyah McGrady, posted on social media alleging that roughly half the cast didn’t know Harry would be the romantic focus when they auditioned for the Netflix dating series.
  • In his argument, Harry pointed out that the casting process featured extensive interviews, psych evaluations, and contestants selecting their dream engagement rings.

Harry Jowsey had time today. The reality TV vet hopped on Instagram to address some recent drama with contestants from his latest series, Let’s Marry Harry.

After several of the girls came forward and claimed they didn’t know they had signed up for a dating show tied to the playboy, Harry set the record straight and urged them to “stop the lies” ahead of the reunion special on August 26.

“It takes months and months and months of background checks, psych evaluations, interviews—like a crazy process trying to figure out if you’re the best person for the show,” he said of the typical casting process in reality TV.

Harry pointed out how public the casting announcement was last year, which included an endorsement from Grammy-nominated singer Sia that encouraged fans to apply.

“When we announced the show, the casting process was extremely public. When I posted it, we crashed the site,” Harry explained, adding, “A lot of people applied for the show, and all the girls there definitely knew what they were signing up for.”

His response comes after Rickiyah McGrady, who self-eliminated in the show’s fourth episode, dropped a wild TikTok video accusing Netflix of omitting one specific detail during the casting process.

“Did you know that about half of the girls who were on Let’s Marry Harry did not know that Harry Jowsey would be the man they would be engaged to and possibly marrying when they were cast for a dating show?” she said, adding, “Did you know that I was one of those girls?”

Another contestant, Debralee Tomberlin, seemed to side with KiKi when she commented, “Like we did NOT know what we were signing up for,” under her video…but she previously posted an Instagram Story (which Harry reposted) opening up about the “intense” application process that included “months’ worth of interviews,” as well as “phone calls, Zoom interviews, panel interviews, and psych evaluation.”

Elsewhere in his response, Harry added, “When the girls were signing up for the show, they submitted their dream engagement rings. What did you think was going to happen? We were going on Floor Is Lava? What did you think was happening?”

He continued, “It’s fascinating. So basically, what I’m saying is, between the months of interviews and casting for this show, picking your dream engagement ring, picking your outfits for this show, taking time off work, buying your makeup, telling your friends, telling your family that you’re going to go film this show, you’re telling us, thinking that we’re silly and we’re silly little gooses over here, that you didn’t know what you were signing up for, and then also telling the other girls everything that you know about me.”

His clapback wasn’t aimed at every contestant, though. There were some girls who took a moment to back him up in his comments section, like Lauren Hollinger, who wrote, “We knew.” Maya Avery also jumped in the replies, doubling down on his confirmation with a simple “Correct.”

However, Rickiyah seemingly reacted to Harry’s response with another shady TikTok captioned “& that’s all,” where she lip-synced along to a sound that says “We don’t give a fuck about that bitch.”

…Well, then! We’ll have to see how ^^^ this all goes down during the Let’s Marry Harry reunion on Wednesday, August 26.
