Fashion fans look forward to the first Monday in May as the ultimate style event: the Met Gala. A who's-who of the most major fashion icons of the day, the gala has a guest list curated by the Anna Wintour and takes place every year at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. This year the theme was "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty" in reference to the late designer, who is best known for his work with Chanel.
And the celeb looks did not disappoint! We've had gothic glam from Rita Ora, feline fierceness from Doja Cat and refined vintage Chanel from Dua Lipa (one of the event's co-chairs). But one outfit that's really been on our minds? Kim Kardashian's daring af
Schiaparelli number that is essentially a champagne-toned bodysuit over her torso and strings of pearls everywhere else.
Taking naked dressing to the extreme, it's a seriously decadent fit that was accessorised with a huge white shawl, a pearl choker, strappy heels and a dramatic, sweeping updo. Wowza.

Everyone's clicking on...
The outfit is even more brilliant when you realise it's likely a reference to her 2007 Playboy cover, which saw her pose in nothing but heels and strings of pearls. Not only is this a seriously iconic moment in Kim's lore, the shoot itself was attended by Kris Jenner and saw her utter her now infamous (and much memed) "you're doing amazing sweetie" line.
Let's be honest, there's not much more iconic than this!
