The sheer dress is something we've been *loving* as of late, thanks to the recent slew of celebs (see: Khloé Kardashian, Megan Fox, Zendaya, etc.) jumping on the NSFW trend. Now, Rita Ora is the latest famous face to join the ranks, and at this point, her offering might be our favourite yet.
The look comes as the singer-actor hit the red carpet while attending the 2023 amfAR Gala in Venice, Italy. Taking to her Instagram, she dropped a series of snaps and footage - both posing for cameras and before she walked the carpet. In the first few images, Rita went sans bodysuit, leaving little to the imagination as the black sheer material was draped over her in a cape style. Party witchy, part floral, the Stéphane Rolland gown was adorned with an oversized white silk petal on the right side that added a stunning sculptural, avante-garde element.
In the fourth slide - before she headed into the event - Rita added a tan bodysuit beneath the sheer dress, complete with a silver bejewelled thin belt. The 32-year-old accessorised the look with a silver snake choker and chunky silver costume rings, while makeup-wise, she kept it simple, subtly adding some silver gems to her lashes.
As for her hair, Rita's team left it down and slightly beachy with her bangs sectioned into two plaits on either side in a middle parting. To give the sophisticated look a slightly more Y2K feel (the eyelash gems were a shout), Rita also added some silver hair tinsel amongst her real locks.
Of course, plenty of fans flocked to the comments section to gush over the fit, with one person labelling the images as a "visual interpretation of greatness."
"You were SERVING, one of my favourite looks so far!! So elegant," another said, as a third simply penned: "Slayed."
All hail Queen Rita, we say.
