How perfect was the casting?!
We’re literally counting down the days until Daisy Jones and the Six hits our screens on 3rd March on Amazon Prime Video, wiith the television adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid’s best selling novel of the same name be dropping weekly on the streaming platform.
If you’ve not already read the book, Daisy Jones and the Six follows the lives of Daisy Jones, a young singer who ends up paired with a rock band called The Six. Over the course of the story we are completely immersed in the sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll heyday of the 1970s, as we witness the band go from relative obscurity to a meteoric rise that sees them selling out shows and ultimately splitting up.
And of course lots of drama unfolds during this time, with Reid even confirming that she took inspiration from the real relationship between Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham.

Riley Keough as Daisy Jones
Riley Keough steps into the lead role of Daisy Jones. She tells The New York Times, “Daisy is complicated. I didn’t identify with Daisy’s desire to sing and write songs, because that’s something I had never done. What I connected with was Daisy’s artistry and how she felt, not being taken seriously as a young woman.”

If anyone knows what it’s like to be in the music industry, it’s Riley Keough. If you didn’t already know, her grandfather was the king of rock 'n' roll, Elvis Presley. But she’s been acting since she turned twenty, having starred in the likes of Mad Max: Fury Road, Zola and another seventies rock band adaptation The Runaways.
Sam Claflin as Billy Dunne
Sam Claflin plays The Six’s frontman Billy Dunne, however, when speaking to Vanity Fair, Sam revealed that he had no prior musical experience before getting the part.
“I have to say, I’d never picked up a guitar before I got this part… And, you know, having read the book, it wasn’t overly clear that I was due to be playing because we took some creative freedom and slightly shifted the parts a little bit, meaning that I was going to be playing not lead guitar, thank God, but rhythm guitar. I had to learn how to hold the guitar, how to strum a guitar. I had the biggest journey to go with the singing as well,” he said.

Sam Claflin has already appeared in a few book to screen adaptations, with him starring in both The Hunger Games franchise and Me Before You. More recently, you might have spotted him in Enola Holmes and Peaky Blinders.
Suki Waterhouse as Karen Sirko
Playing the lone female band member of The Six – before Daisy joins – Suki Waterhouse is keyboardist Karen, with the actress actually only being a novice pianist before she was cast.

Suki Waterhouse began her career as a model aged sixteen, while also appearing in several movies and TV shows such as The Divergent Series: Insurgent and Love, Rosie (alongside co-star Sam Claflin). However, in 2022, she released her debut album titled I Can’t Let Go.
Camila Morrone as Camila Dunne
Camila Morrone plays another Camila, with her being the devoted girlfriend of Billy. Over the course of the story we see her follow him and the band as they pursue their dreams but once Daisy joins The Six, she finds herself somewhat unknowingly in a bit of a love triangle with Billy and Daisy.

You may recognise Camila's name from her time reportedly dating a certain Leonardo DiCaprio. She's now focusing on her acting career, with prior roles in Death Wish and Mickey and the Bear, but she was also a model for several years.
Will Harrison as Graham Dunne
Will Harrison plays Graham Dunne – Billy's younger brother and the person who actually has the idea for The Six in the first place.

Will is a relative newcomer when it comes to the world of acting, with his biggest role to date being in an episode of the American political drama Madam Secretary.
Josh Whitehouse as Eddie Roundtree
Josh Whitehouse will be playing The Six's rather fiery bassist who isn't exactly pleased to not be leading his own band and essentially playing second fiddle – or should that be guitar – to Billy's lead.

If you love a good Netflix Christmas rom-com, you'll maybe remember Josh as Sir Cole Lyons of Norwich opposite Vanessa Hudgens in The Knight Before Christmas. He's also appeared in BBC's Poldark.

Sebastian Chacon stars as Warren Rhodes, the drummer for The Six. He's undoubtedly one of the most laidback characters in the band, with him being keen not to forget where they originally came from as their stars begin to rise.

Giving us Quincy Jones-esque vibes in his role as music producer Teddy Price, Tom Wright was shocked when he first heard the band of actors perform live for the first time. “They sounded like a real band. It was incredible,” he reveals to The New York Times.
