The Split starring Nicola Walker quietly became one of those cult shows that people couldn't get enough of, which might be why the internet went wild for The Split: Barcelona back in December 2024.
And the good news is, it's not the only spin-off the BBC have planned - as they've just shared even more details on The Split Up. Here's everything you need to know about the show, from the potential release date to cast and more - and some fans are even hailing it better than the original.
What is The Split Up about?
The story is based on The Split rather than being connected to The Split - aka, it tells a similar story with a whole new bunch of characters. Basically an anthology like The White Lotus, but with divorce.
The BBC synopsis explains that The Split Up is "a family story set inside the high-pressure world of Manchester’s high-net-worth divorce circuit, combining all the heart of The Split but with a new setting, characters and storylines.
"We follow Ritu Arya as Aria Kishan, a fast-rising star of Kishan Law, poised to step up and take the mantle from her father Dhruv, played by Sanjeev Bhaskar, and Aria’s siblings Maya, Kav, and partner Neal."
Who's in the cast of The Split Up?
