Calling all Line of Duty fans! If you've been missing watching Adrian Dunbar on your screens then we have just the thing, as one of his older thriller series Blood is now available on Netflix and it's a serious must-watch.

Thanks to his role as Superintendent Ted Hastings, we will literally watch Dunbar in anything. From playing a moody detective in ITV's Ridley, to starring as a priest in BBC series Broken, we've watched a steady stream of Dunbar dramas.

And if you're like us and need to watch the Irish actor in something new, then we'd highly recommend watching Blood and here's everything to know about it.

What is Blood about?

Blood was originally broadcast on Channel 5 back in 2018. It's based in a small fictional town just outside of Dublin and follows a young woman called Cat who returns to said small town after the death of her mother.

Her mother had been suffering from a long-time illness, but her death actually happened because she fell over and hit her head on a rock, and Cat is convinced her dad (played by Dunbar) is behind her mother's death. He's a popular local doctor, but after certain things that occurred in her childhood Cat isn't so convinced by his behaviour.

The series received rave reviews when it debuted, with Time saying it had "plenty of smart twists" and praised the "quintessential Irishness" of the series.

The Irish Times also noted how well the series shot Ireland, saying at the time of the show's release: "one discreet appeal may be its refreshing approach to filming Ireland, not as postcard quaint or try-hard urban, but something more fascinating: a place old and new, gothic and green."
