Off Campus has officially taken over our lives, with the Prime Video hockey romance series leaving us with a bunch of questions. Like, where are the nearest hockey games to me? Why is Dean Di Laurentis not a real person? And very crucially, is Ella Bright actually singing as Hannah in Off Campus?

While the jury is still out on the answers to the first two questions we do in fact know a lot about the third question.

Singing and music are crucial parts of Hannah's character journey in Off Campus. She starts off as someone who only plays classical music, to ending the season singing a pop song she wrote (that also ends with Garrett staring longly at her during the showcase). And we see her throughout the season singing, from karaoke nights to heartfelt declarations in the ice hockey stadium.

But is she actually singing during Off Campus? Here's what we know.

Is Ella Bright actually singing as Hannah in Off Campus?

Yes! Ella did not use a vocal double and actually studied pretty hard when it came to improving her vocals, and her instrument playing.

Speaking to Variety about her preparation for playing Hannah, Ella revealed she and Josh Heuston, who plays Justin, worked every day with a vocal coach and they both learnt piano and guitar from scratch.

"I feel very happy to say that it was all me," she told the publication.

The show features four original songs, which were penned by songwriter Amy Allen, who counts Harry Styles and Sabrina Carpenter as people she's written for previously.

Ella revealed she also created a playlist to get into Hannah's headspace ahead of filming, with songs such as Olivia Rodrigo's 'Scared of My Guitar' and Ethel Cain's 'Sun Bleached Flies' making the cut.
