Virgin Island is back for a second season and Channel 4 has revealed the 12 new young adult virgins who are set to take to the island in a bid to form better relationships with intimacy.
Dr Danielle Harel and Celeste Hirschman are returning to the TV show alongside an extended group of therapists on-hand to support the cast members through their hang-ups, insecurities and hopes.
But who's set to take to our screens in a bid to build a better sexual and romantic relationships with themselves alongside others?

Meet the cast of Virgin Island season 2
Alex
Age: 28
Job: Data analyst
Where is Alex from? Exeter
Why did Alex join the show? With sex a taboo topic at home and growing up with anxiety surrounding it, Alex hopes the show could help "break the cycle" of intimacy feeling like "fear, pressure and performance rather than enjoyment."
Bertie
Age: 24
Job: Event volunteer
Where is Bertie from? Taunton
Why did Bertie join the show? Bertie "struggled with confidence and had no idea how to approach dating," but after seeing season one of the show felt inspired to tackle it and try to learn some "practical skills".
Callum
Age: 21
Job: Unemployed
Where is Callum from? Preston
Why did Callum join the show? In a bid to combat being labelled the "virgin" of his friendship group, Callum hopes joining the show may progress his relationship with intimacy, having never kissed anyone. After spending a lot of time alone following the death of his dad just over two years ago, Callum knew he "needed help to break that pattern" and wants to start "living more fully".

Why did Ed join the show? Season one "immediately resonated" with Ed, who's limb difference and scars as a result of operations and grafts has left him feeling isolated when it comes to approaching intimacy. Worried he'll be perceived as "weird or gross," he hopes to get "real help" with "issues" he's "struggled with for a long time".

Job: Childcare practitioner
Where is Ellen from? Hayward's Heath
Why did Ellen join the show? Yet to progress past kissing, Ellen applied to find "support to build confidence" in her sexuality "and finally feel comfortable giving and receiving pleasure".

Where is Jason from? Manchester
Why did Jason join the show? His friends applying him to the show, Jason ultimately decided to stick with it and "doesn't know" exactly what he hopes to get out of it, but doesn't want to be "on the own for the rest of his life".

Where is Joy from? Falmouth
Why did Joy join the show? Hoping to tackle "religious shame" alongside receive expert help for her Vaginismus diagnosis, Joy was originally opposed to going on the show but season one "changed her mind".
Katie

Where is Katie from? Peterborough
Why did Katie join the show? Struggling with insecurity and "hating" her appearance largely resulting from bullying in school - including being voted the "ugliest girl in school" - Katie hopes the show can help her find more confidence in herself.
Marianne

Why did Marianne join the show? While very aware of her own mental health and living with ADHD, Marianne feels "fear and distrust" when faced with going past the "making out" stage. She hopes the show can help her navigate these challenges "in a genuinely safe and supportive environment".

Why did Millie join the show? Hoping the show will help her stop "avoiding romantic opportunities," Millie seeks to address her "unresolved issues" and gain confidence, "knowledge about the female anatomy" and be more "overall accepting" of herself.

Where is Tegan from? Glasgow
Why did Tegan join the show? Feeling like she was "succeeding" in "every part" of life apart from her romantic and sexual life, Tegan hopes joining Virgin Island will get her past a drunk kiss in a club and find more "self-confidence" and "skills" in talking to women and feeling "comfortable in her own skin".
Will
Age: 30
Job: Landscape gardener
Where is Will from? Solihull
Why did Will join the show? After being sent an application by a friend, Will thought why not, noting he'd love some help from the experts with his "fear of premature ejaculation" and "dealing with the long-term feeling of being unwanted".
Season 2 of Virgin Island begins on Monday 27th April at 9pm on Channel 4.
