The Baby Reindeer creator and star is back. And if you thought his Netflix release made your jaw drop, just wait until you see Half Man.
Richard Gadd's latest TV series takes a gut-punching dive into the issue of toxic masculinity, picking up from where Stephen Graham's Adolescence left over with a skin-tingling ferocity. Half Man centres around the figures of Niall and Ruben - two brothers not my blood but complex bond. It captures "the lives of these broken men [...] exploring brotherhood, violence, and the intense fragility of male relationships," as per HBO.
And you're definitely not going to want to miss it. Although, a word of warning, it makes for a hard watch. If you were already up early this morning to catch the first episode before heading into work you may think the first episode was a lot, but take our word for it, the series has a lot more in store for you.
Half Man was created, written and executive produced by Gadd - who also stars alongside Jamie Bell - with Sophie Gardiner, Anna O'Malley, Gaynor Holmes and Gavin Smith onboard as exec producers too. Alexandra Brodski and Eshref Reybrouck direct.
