The best cooking show on television returns tonight as Masterchef's 22nd season kicks off on BBC One. Yes, that's right 22 seasons in and we're still not bored of watching amateur chefs battle it out with their best chocolate fondant recipes. But what time does the show start tonight?

The new series is set to start this evening and run for seven weeks, with new Masterchef presenters Anna Haugh and Grace Dent at the helm, supported by a number of guests judges from across the culinary world including tough restaurant critics and former winners of teh show.

And in tonight's episode we can expect to see the first six competitors who are all battling it out to win one of four Masterchef aprons which are up for grabs.
