Will there be a season 7 of Grace?

As of now (19th April), there has been no confirmed news that Grace will be returning for a seventh season. However, that doesn't necessarily mean it won't happen.

Why might Grace be renewed for a 7th season?

If the current season has done well in terms of views and ratings, ITV will likely renew it for a seventh run. And seeing as though ITV stated that the 5th season of the show was 'one of ITV's most popular shows of 2025' in a press release earlier this year, then we think this makes the odds even more favourable.

The show's lead John Simm is also keen for it to continue, having told ITV, ‘I will happily do this as long as people want it. I realise how lucky I am to be playing the lead in a cop show. I love it.' That feels like a strong backing from the Detective Superintendent himself!

He even went on to say, ‘I love the job, I love the people, and it’s unlike anything I’ve ever done, it genuinely is like a family,’ the star continued. ‘We have the same crew, the same people come back to make the show every year, and every time we start again and walk on set, it feels like coming home!’

Another reason fans are sure of a seventh season is that the show is based on a long-running series of novels by Peter James, meaning there's plenty of source material for new episodes.

What will Grace be replaced with on ITV?

Grace typically aired at 8pm on a Sunday, prime TV viewing time. After the final episode today (19th April), this will now be replaced with an absolute classic: Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
