Last night saw the arrival of our latest mid-week thriller treat, as Channel 5 aired the first episode of their new drama series Missed Call, which follows every parent's worst nightmare as a single mother realises her daughter has gone missing while on a school exchange trip abroad.
Joanna Scanlan stars as Sarah Gleason, whose teenager daughter Katie (played by Emily Coates) suddenly disappears on a trip to France. Sarah wastes no time in hot footing it over to the small French village in search for her daughter.
And while of course, the show is a tense thriller about the worst happening, we can't help but be distracted by the stunning French countryside, and perhaps wondering, er, just where it's filmed and if we could book our next holiday there...
If you've got just as much curiosity as us as to where Missed Call was filmed, then here all the real life filming locations you can actually visit.
Where was Missed Call filmed?
The majority of the show is set within the small picturesque fictional French town of Saint-Michel, not to be confused with the real life French location of Mont Saint-Michel.
The filming for this fictional village did actually take place in the real French area called Montpellier, including all the scenes that were supposed to take place in Britain, such as Sarah's home and when she drops Katie off for the trip at her school.
Montpellier is in the south of France and is just 10km inland from the Mediterranean Sea, with filming taking place in the surrounding areas of the city. The show also filmed in the village of Saint-Guilhem-Le-Désert.
Is Saint-Michel a real town?
The town where Katie goes for her French exchange is not a real town. Instead the majority of those scenes were filmed on location in the historical landmark of Manufacture Royale, which is situated in Villeneuvette, which is about a 50 minute drive from the centre of Montpellier.
All those scenes you see of Sarah wondering the cobblestone streets are filmed at Manufacture Royale. The building and its grounds used to be a royal woollen cloth factory, dating back to the 17th century, but is no longer in use following it's closure in the 1970s.
However, it's now open as a tourist attraction which you can visit. Road trip anyone?
Where is the house Katie stays in?
In the opening scenes of episode one, we see the incredibly stunning house Katie gets to stay at during her exchange programme, and honestly, we want to go back to school just to stay in this property.
And it turns out it's a real place in the south of France - the house is called Château Saint Martin de la Garrigue and is situated in the town of Montagnac, which is about a 50 minute drive from Montpellier.
The house dates back to the 16th century and has 420 acres of land, including extensive vineyards.
Today the house is still in operation as a winemaker and excitingly you can visit the property and stay in the castle on the grounds, with the website revealing the site "has several secluded suites and luxurious living quarters for a total of up to 16 guests."
It's also available to hire out for weddings which can host up to 120 guests.
Is the graveyard in episode 1 real?
The first episode also sees teacher Neil (Dean Fagan) head to a rather scenic graveyard while making a phone call.
The graveyard is very much a real location, which is known as Cimetière Marin Paul Valéry de Sète, located in the French seaside town of Sète.
Missed Call continues on Channel 5 tonight at 9pm
