The Celebrity Traitors is currently underway over on BBC and the 'Faithfuls' are dropping like flies. The show started on Wednesday 8th October, and saw Claudia Winkleman welcoming 19 celebrities at the infamous Scottish Castle.

As usual, she picked her 'Traitors' by going round the table and tapping each one on the shoulder, and they got to "murdering" in the night, while the 'Faithful' worked hard during the day to banish the liars amongst them.

The Traitors castle is located in the Scottish Highlands on the banks of the River Alness about 30 miles north of Inverness. The 19th-century castle is used for filming both the UK and US versions of the show, and serves as the backdrop for the series.

But, while we see the cast eating there and completing challenges nearby, it's not actually where they sleep.

So, where do The Celebrity Traitors cast stay at night?

Here's everything you need to know.

Where do The Celebrity Traitors cast stay?

While Ardross Castle is known as the main location for the BBC Traitors and the show is edited to make it seem like the contestants sleep there, the cast don't actually stay at the castle overnight (unfortunately).

Instead, the contestants reportedly stay at a location nearby and travel to the castle each morning for the famous breakfast moment, where they find out who has been murdered in the night and who has survived another day.

Contestants are driven separately to and from the hotel daily. This separation is a security measure to prevent contestants from communicating with each other off-camera. It also allows for the 'Traitors' to visit the turret at night without having to worry whether they'll be heard by the other contestants, which could completely throw the game.

The Celebrity Traitors airs on BBC One on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9pm.
