Warning: Major spoilers for Channel 5 drama Missed Call ahead - well, around the first five minutes at least.

If you similarly grew up watching the latest Poirot, Miss Marple or Lewis and now pride yourself on being able to guess the nefarious character in any thriller, then clear your plans to see if you can do the same for Channel 5's latest original drama Missed Call .

The four-part TV thriller kicked off last night at 9pm, setting up the story of British teenager Katie Gleason heading off on a school exchange in southern France.

Katie's single mum, Sarah, ends up getting a missed call from her daughter and shortly after, Katie stops replying completely. Sarah immediately rushes to Saint-Michel in a bid to find her, but what will she find when she's met with Katie's host family and the authorities? And what will she unravel along the way in a bid to find her daughter and safely return her home?

Well, despite there being three more episodes to find out, some viewers seem to think they already know who the 'culprit' is after just the first five minutes.

One X user wrote: "Five minutes in, Rupert Graves is the culprit #missedcall."

And another chimed: "I thought that too, but what was the 'tell' which made us think it?"

In the series, Graves plays the role of Jason Bradley, Sarah's relatively new boyfriend. He's tasked with driving Katie and her classmates to France. But how well does Sarah really know Jason? And what may he know about Katie's disappearance?

Well, we've put together four possible clues which could've led to some viewers growing suspicious of Graves within the very first five minutes of the show. The question is, did you spot them too?

The Cardboard Box

Indeed, in the first five minutes of the show, the school group are getting ready to head onto the coach and drive to France.

After reassuring Sarah about the trip, Graves' character heads over to "get back to work". However, instead of hopping onboard the bus to get behind the wheel, Jason makes eye-contact with a suspicious-looking man who he then heads over to and takes a cardboard box from.

The pair appear to have a tense conversation before Jason hurries back, brow furrowed, popping the box in the storage area of the school bus.

There's no doubt about it, it's shady behaviour. The question remains, what's in the box?

The smooth-talking

Jason's reassurances roll off his tongue to Sarah far too easily. From oozing: "Don't worry love, I've been doing the same journey for years, long before I met you and Katie."

To: "It's going to be fine babes, alright."

There's just something about his eyes not fully matching the tone of his words or what he's saying.

After all, we've all experienced a man who tells us what they think we want to hear and then his actions don't align with his words, right?

Amber flag behaviour. But it certainly turns red after this next clue.

Jason's suggestion to Sarah to go away next weekend

Shortly after arriving in the south of France, Jason and Sarah video call. Granted, this moment occurs just over five minutes into the episode - cuff us.

On the call, Jason suggests when he returns in three days that he and Sarah "take advantage of the freedom" of not having Katie around and go away next weekend "somewhere romantic".

We can't count how many times we've seen it portrayed on screen when a man suggests a romantic weekend away in a bid to cover up or fix something. As soon as Jason uttered the suggestion, alarm bells sounded.

What's he using the weekend away to hide from? Or could it be that he needs an escape from something which is about to go down during the next few days of the exchange programme?

Katie and Jason's bizarre interaction

As Jason and Sarah's FaceTime session is ending, Katie walks behind him, wolf-whistles and shouts: "Laters handsome!"

Yes, Katie, the daughter of Sarah, her mum, who is dating Jason, with Jason also being one of the adult supervisors on Katie's school trip...

Jason excuses Katie's behaviour to Sarah , quickly jumping in with: "She’s just taking the piss." He then swiftly changes the subject and says he has to go check and see if anyone's left anything behind on the coach.

Is this a clue something's going on between Katie and Jason?

And why can't we stop thinking about that cardboard box?!

You can catch the next episode of Missed Call on Channel 5 tonight at 9pm with episodes airing at the same time every evening until Friday (17 April).
