**Contains spoilers on Black Rabbit**

If you're anything like us and have already binged all eight episodes of Black Rabbit, you probably have a lot of questions.

The new thriller, starring Jude Law and Jason Bateman as estranged brothers Frank and Vince Friedken, kicked off on Netflix on Thursday 18th September and immediately had us hooked.

It follows Jake (Law) and Vince (Bateman) who run an exclusive restaurant/bar in New York City called Black Rabbit. When Vince returns unexpectedly, things begin to spiral.

The series opens with a robbery and shootout taking place at the Black Rabbit. We're taken back to the month before, as the events leading up to that violent night begin to unravel. Jake, the more composed and business-minded of the two, is juggling the pressures of running a high-profile establishment while keeping a tight lid on his darker past. Vince, on the other hand, is chaotic and impulsive - freshly out of rehab and carrying secrets that threaten to drag them both under.

As the story unfolds, we learn that Vince’s return isn’t just a personal reckoning, it coincides with a wave of criminal activity connected to a powerful loan shark, Joe Mancuso, operating in the shadows of the city. The brothers are soon caught in a web of betrayal, old debts, and dangerous alliances, where every choice pulls them deeper into a world they tried to leave behind.

So, how does it all end? Read on for everything you need to know.

In episode one, we see a hysterical Anna leaving the Black Rabbit in the early hours of the morning. She's later fired by Jake for missing two shifts, and confesses to Roxie that she was sexually assaulted by Jules, one of Jake's friend Wes’s wealthy friends who frequents the bar.

A fixer for Jules offers her hush money and a plan to relocate, however, but before she can accept the deal, Vince's loan sharks (Mancuso's son Junior and henchman Babbitt) storm into her place and kill her mistaking her for a blackmailer.

Did Vince kill his dad?

He did. After Vince and Jake set light to their mum's home to claim the insurance money to pay off Vince's debts, he has a flashback from their childhood.

In the clip, we see their mother being physically attacked by their father. A young Vince is woken from his sleep and notices the altercation. He yells from the top of the staircase for his dad to stop, but he's told to go back to bed or he'll be next. We then see Vince drop a bowling ball from the top of the stairs straight onto his father, killing him instantly.

It's actually Mancuso who covered up the case, later arriving and telling Vince's mother that he'll take care of it. In the first episode, Mancuso tells Vince he's only giving him a chance because he liked his mother, and their secret relationship is finally revealed.

For all those years Vince thought Jake was asleep and didn't know what happened, however, in the last episode, Jake quietly reveals that he knew all along, but never stopped believing in the good within Vince.

Who is responsible for the Black Rabbit shoot out?

Vince and Junior.

By episode six, we finally arrive at the robbery in the opening episode. Jake initially informs Junior and his father that there'll be $1 million of jewellery in the Black Rabbit that night and there'll be very little security, so they can come and take it to cover Vince's debt.

He later calls off the plan and pays Mancuso above Vince's debt, putting an end to the whole saga.

Jake then tells Vince to go on his way, saying that he screws up everything and the brothers part ways.

Mancuso dismisses Junior and demands that he get on a plane and leave, ordering Babbitt to take him to the airport and watch him go. However, Junior insists on proving to his dad that he's not a screw up like he thinks and goes to find Junior and forces him to take part in the heist.

Later that day, Junior and Vince arrive at the Black Rabbit wearing balaclavas and go to look for the jewellery, which Junior was told would be in the safe. When they get there they realise on the office security cameras that they're too late and the jewellery is already out on the restaurant floor being shown to customers.

Vince tells Junior that there'sno point, but he insists and heads out to the main restaurant. They run into Tony in the corridor and Junior holds a gun to his head as they walk into the party.

In the chaos, Wes is shot and Junior turns his gun on Jake. At that moment, Jake recognises his brother’s eyes beneath the mask. Vince then shoots Junior in the head and kills him, before fleeing the scene with the jewellery. The recognition leaves Jake absolutely devastated, and raises suspicion amongst the staff as he runs off by himself after the shootout rather than heading to the hospital with everyone else.

Does Wes die?

He does. After being shot, Wes is taken to hospital where he later dies.

Does Tony die?

Despite getting shot, Tony survives and we see him at the end of the series working at Roxie's new restaurant called Anna's.

Does Vince die?

He does. Following the heist, Jake continues to protect Vince, even as suspicions around Anna’s death begin to tighten around him. No longer willing to stay silent, Roxie and Tony go to the police with what they know.

Meanwhile, Mancuso briefly kidnaps Jake’s daughter, Gen, using her as leverage but he lets her go when Jake agrees to help him locate Vince. After telling Mancuso where Vince is, Jake goes to save his brother and they manage to get away. By this point, the police have put word out that Vince is dangerous and wanted, which makes it hard for the brothers to get far.

They end up back at the Black Rabbit and have one final moment together. Vince hands over the money he got for jewellery and calls the police confessing to his crimes. In a final act of sacrifice, he then throws himself from the rooftop, hoping to save both Jake and Gen from further destruction.

When the police arrive at the scene, Jake hands over a pen drive of evidence needed to bring down Jules, leading to his arrest. Mancuso, unexpectedly moved by Vince’s death, chooses to spare Jake’s life.

What happens to Jake after the heist?

Jake closes the Black Rabbit for good and finds himself working as a bartender at a different New York bar. It looks like his ex-wife Val has moved away from New York with their son Hunter and Vince's daughter Gen.
