The Couple Next Door well and truly gripped viewers when season one aired on Channel 4 back in November 2023, introducing us to the likes of Evie (Eleanor Tomlinson), Pete (Alfred Enoch), Danny (Sam Heughan) and Becka (Jessica De Gouw).
Season two just wrapped on Channel 4, with Jacob's (Sam Palladio) crimes being revealed following a dramatic twist.
So, what's next? Will there be a third season to continue the chaos, the mystery, and the drama we all just can't seem to get enough of?

Will The Couple Next Door return for season 3?
Season three hasn't officially been confirmed yet, but given that the The Couple Next Door is an anthology series, a third season is highly likely.
Season one and two introduced us to new characters and stories, while keeping the cul-de-sac setting the same.
While the first season was based on the Dutch series Nieuwe Buren (New Neighbours), the season was loosely adapted from a Danish series called Dopamine.

The Couple Next Door season 3 potential release date
Season one premiered on Channel 4 on 23rd November 2023. The second season was confirmed a year later in November 2024 and aired on 14th July 2025, which means that we could be waiting until early 2027 for a new series.
The Couple Next Door season 3 cast
It's too early to say who will be in the cast, as it's likely that a third season will focus on a brand new characters as season one and two did.
We did see Alan (played by Hugh Dennis) return in the second season, however, as he completed community service after being caught stalking Becka. So it's likely he could make a return for the third season.
Speaking exclusively to Cosmopolitan UK, Sam Palladio said he'd love for both the season one and two cast to return.
"I had the best time in filming this. The team were great and everything. So I would always say, 'Hey, if I could rejoin this world at some point, I'd love to'. I mean Jacob's definitely going to prison, but we were talking on set about doing, like a sort of Prison Break thing where Evie is in there and and then we find Sam [Heughan]," Palladio said.
"David Allison and Jim Burnett are great writers and there's a great team there, and I think we've all loved working each other. So, maybe there's a way we could bring back Jacob at some point. Maybe he gets off somehow... He's definitely going to be locked up for a bit, but maybe we come back a few years later. I do think some sort of crossover would be cool somehow, getting the series one cast with some series two cast, and Hugh Dennis obviously has to be there."
The Couple season 3 filming location
It's very likely the third season will be filmed on the same cul-de-sac, known as Appleby Drive.
While the show is set in Leeds, The Couple Next Door is actually filmed in parts of Belgium and Holland.
