As a selection of our favourite former Love Islanders prepare to return to the villa in search of love on the All Stars series, one person who might already be coupled up is the show's host, Maya Jama.
Since splitting with Stormzy last year, Maya is rumoured to have been dating footballer Ruben Dias, and now fans think he's just confirmed their romance on his Instagram.
Taking to his Instagram, the Manchester City professional player shared a photo carousel to celebrate the new year. In it, he's pictured with a woman and — although you can only see the back of her — plenty of followers suspect the woman hiding behind the hoodie is Maya.
"Who is she???" one follower asked in the comments section, to which another replied "his gf" and tagged the Love Island presenter. "I ship Ruben and Maya so baddddd," someone else commented along with a string of fire emojis. Another fan chimed in with: "Dude is soft launching."
Maya and Ruben were first spotted together at Sa Capella restaurant in Ibiza, according to OK! magazine, although they are said to have met at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Manchester on 10 November. Despite the above, neither have officially confirmed they are dating.
Maya previously dated Stormzy (real name: Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr.) for the best part of a decade. Announcing their split in July 2024, the pair shared a joint statement, which read: "We've been laughing whilst drafting this because we never, ever, in a million years thought we'd be the couple announcing a breakup."
"But for the sake of clarity and, more importantly, to allow us the space and grace that's needed for us both to be able to navigate this next bit of our lives with peace, we thought it might be best to."
They continued: "Announcing this feels so dramatic, but we're doing it so that it kind of takes away the drama and avoids speculation and rumours. We're kindly asking for the grace to let both of us keep it moving and not be bothered about it (we highly doubt this'll work, but we're still kindly asking anyway)."
