After people on the internet speculated that Married At First Sight UK's Ryan and Hannah are now together, the pair have been forced to respond to dating rumours.
Season seven of MAFS UK kicked off in September, with a whole new batch of participants entering into a social experiment which sees them matched up with their perfect partner based on a series of personality tests and quizzes. After meeting for the first time on their wedding day, they head on honeymoon, before moving in together and taking part in weekly dinner party and commitment ceremonies.
After three weeks, three new couples joined the experiment in the shape of Amy and Luke, Ryan and Sionainn, and Hannah and Stephen. And while Amy and Luke made it all the way to final vows, the same could not be said for Ryan and Sionainn, and Hannah and Stephen, with viewers then speculating that Ryan and Hannah were dating after the show.
Now, Hannah has taken to social media to clear up the rumours, and share her side of the story.
Wait, what happens for Ryan and Hannah on MAFS UK?
During the experiment, 28-year-old Ryan, a bin man from Manchester, was matched with Sionainn, a 29-year-old makeup artist from Glasgow. Wwhile she got cold feet on their wedding day, the pair eventually found their spark.
They had a positive honeymoon, and sailed through the first dinner parties and commitment ceremonies, bonding over their past experiences and also shared sense of humour.
However, the pair soon revealed they were leaving the experiment, after having a major blow up off camera.
"I'm leaving boys," Ryan was filmed telling two of his fellow grooms. "We've had a proper argument and I was trying to do my laces. I was trying to retie my laces and it was getting on my nerves. So Shannon was trying to help me. So I said, ‘oh, just leave him, just leave them now’ And she said, ‘Oh, don't speak to me like that’. She said to me she doesn't feel comfortable in the relationship and she doesn't know if I'm here for a genuine reason."
Sionainn was then filmed telling two of the brides, " We had like a little fall out yesterday. And it was like, honestly over shoelaces, he just spoke to me really, really poorly. And I said, ‘Ryan don't speak to me like that. You're not going to speak to me like s**t’. And it just flipped. He decided to tell me that none of his feelings had ever been real. He'd been faking it all. It was all a holiday romance for him."
Hannah, meanwhile, also had a tumultuous time in the experiment. While the 33-year-old gym owner from Cheshire and Stephen, a 33-year-old Medical Technology Technician from Berkshire, got on well on their wedding day, a huge row on their honeymoon almost ruined their relationship when she threatened to reveal information he had shared off camera.
During the first dinner party, Kristina then labelled them the least compatible couple, while Stephen told the experts during the first commitment ceremony that he wanted to leave. The pair then headed on Retreat Week, where Hannah revealed Stephen wouldn't even look at her, let alone try and work on their relationship, and they both chose to leave during the next Commitment Ceremony.
Are Ryan and Hannah from MAFS UK actually together now?
During retreat week, Hannah was accused of flirting with Ryan when she was complimenting him on his fluffy slippers. They both left the experiment with their respective partners soon after.
Eagle-eyed viewers have been digging into their social media accounts, and have realised Hannah and Ryan have shared matching posts from festivals over the summer. Of course, this could be a complete coincidence, or it could mean Hannah and Ryan just developed a lovely friendship on the show, and people are reading too much into things.

A report from Daily Mail then revealed Hannah and Ryan walked into the MAFS reunion together holding hands, shocking their fellow brides and grooms. "The entire cast was left open-mouthed when Hannah walked into the reunion hand in hand with Ryan," the insider said. "She had made a big point about her friendliness being taken the wrong way and how the female members of the group had misjudged her intentions..."
Then, on 8th November 2024, Hannah finally put the rumours to bed, sharing an Instagram Story about what was going on.
Alongside some photos of her and Ryan, she wrote:
Me & Ryan built a really lovely friendship when we both got out of the experiment and that is all it has ever been! We have never dated and we have never been in a relationship.
"If anybody actually took a minute to ask us we would both have happily confirmed that but no! Instead it was playground whispers, rumours and a public ambush off of hearsay YET again!
"All the other cast built friendships (boys and girls) & were chatting, meeting up, enjoying a little Whatsapp group that we were left out of, and as always it was more than OK for everybody else to get friendly... but of course not for me!"
