The chaotic homestays have continued in tonight's episode of MAFS Australia with the second half of the group heading home to introduce their partner to their friends and family, and show them what married life could look like if they moved into their current homes together. And one house that has got everyone talking is Bec's home, with many viewers wondering how she affords a $3million property. Curious too? Let's get into it.
During tonight's episode Danny and Bec head back to Bec's hometown of Adelaide, where Bec introduces Danny to the most important person in her life - her dog Coco.
And throughout the episode there are mentions of how much the home is valued at, which is a casual $3million (that's roughly £1,589,430) and that her mortgage is $97,000.
When the show aired in Australia a few weeks ago, many viewers took to social media to question how Bec had purchased the property.
One person on X wrote: "Take a drink every time Bec says she has a $3 million dollar house with a $97k mortgage."
While another questioned the value of her house saying: "That ain’t a $3 mill house in Adelaide Bec lmao #mafsau."
But how did Bec end up with the house? Well, it turns out she was given it.
Speaking on Joshua Fox's podcast, Bec revealed the house was given to her after Josh asked her directly about it.
"I got it given to me," she said to Josh. "I've been paying the mortgage for the past three years, but yes correct it was given to me." She doesn't, however, go onto reveal who gave her the house.
Josh then pointed out it would have been good for viewers to understand that while watching the show, to which Bec said she agreed with him but doesn't have control over what's shown in the final edit.
Bec then double downed and defended her living situation, going on to claim she would never be able to afford to buy a house like her current one "as a single woman".
She added: "I've earnt so much money in my life, and I have nothing to show for it really."
Bec also clarified she is now renting out the house we saw during homestays following her time on the show.
